came home from school one day and my mom was waiting for me. She had been
crying and her and my dad were holding each other by the door. When I
approached them, my dad grabbed me and hugged me hard. I almost couldn’t breathe.
I asked him what was wrong and he said that my mom and I were going away for a
while. I didn’t really understand what was happening at the time..."
